Scott Wortman Position: Assistant Director of Media Relations Experience: 3rd Year Alma Mater: Ohio Northern, 2004

Scott Wortman enters his third year as Assistant Director of Media Relations at Wake Forest in 2008.

He joined the Demon Deacon staff in July 2006 from Ohio Northern University where he was a graduate assistant for two years.

Wortman is the primary media contact for men's basketball and men's and women's cross country. He also serves as the editor of Kickoff, the official gameday magazine of Wake Forest football, and the Demon Deacon men's basketball yearbook.

Wortman has previously worked with the Wake Forest baseball, women's basketball, volleyball and women's golf teams.

A native of Van Wert, Ohio, Wortman earned his undergraduate degree in professional writing from Ohio Northern in 2004 and his master's degree in sport administration from Bowling Green State University in 2006.

Wortman is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). His 2007-08 men's basketball media guide was awarded sixth place in the nation by CoSIDA.

Wortman and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Winston-Salem with their dog, Champ.
