About Bullock... Enters the season as a weekend starter... emerged as the Deacons' top starter last season and as one of the ACC's top lefthanded pitchers... possesses one of the best pickoff moves in the country... has a competitive nature on the mound... missed most of his freshman season in 2006 due to injury... selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 45th round of the 2007 MLB Draft... a history major... son of Scott & Ann Bullock.
In 2007... Pitched in 19 games with a team-high 15 starts... went 4-3 with a 5.12 ERA... pitched a team-high 96.2 innings... led the ACC with 13 pickoffs... tied for fourth in the ACC in innings pitched in conference games with 68.0... did not allow an earned run in four appearances out of the bullpen... pitched 10 innings in Wake Forest's 17-inning loss at Boston College on April 21, becoming the first Deacon to accomplish the feat since 1999... did not lose a game for a span of almost two months (March 24 - May 23).
In 2006... Made five appearances, going 1-0 on the season... started his only game against Ohio State, going five innings and striking out seven in the win... credited with the save against UNC-Wilmington on Feb. 17... missed some time due to a bout with pneumonia and a tricep injury.
Prior to Wake Forest... Member of back-to-back North Carolina State Championship clubs at J.H. Rose HS... helped high school squad reach a national ranking of 10th by Baseball America in 2003... member of the 2003 World Wood Bat Association World Championship Team... awarded all-area, all-conference and All-North Carolina State Tournament in 2004... named Pitcher of the Year for the American Legion Post 39... entered senior season with a career mark of 25-1 with a 0.63 earned run average... struck out 305 in just 154 innings... quality student that owned a 4.3 grade point average and ranked in the top 13 percent of his senior class.
