In 2005... Pitched in 33 games and made one start... 4-1 record with a 3.06 ERA... led the staff in saves (6), earned run average (3.06), batting average against (.272), relief appearances (32) and tied for the team lead in total appearances (33)... ranked third on the staff in wins (4) and fourth in innings pitched (53.0)... in his only start of 2005, tossed 6.1 innings and did not allow an earned run in the ACC Tournament victory over North Carolina (May 26)... scattered six hits, struck out three and did not issue a walk... earned the save in the victory over Miami (Mar. 19)... fanned two in 1.2 innings of scoreless relief... picked up a pair of saves in the three-game series sweep of Duke... tossed 1.2 innings that weekend of scoreless relief... registered saves in three consecutive outings against Maryland, Liberty and UNC Greensboro... in those outings, pitched 4.0 scoreless innings of relief.
In 2004... Pitched in 14 contests starting in 12 of them... posted a team-high four wins (4-6) with a 7.29 ERA... recorded 39 strikeouts in 63.0 innings... allowed one earned run in four innings against Lamar with three strikeouts but did not get the decision... pitched seven shutout innings against High Point while striking out a season-high eight batters in a winning effort... pitched seven innings in the second game of the Winthrop doubleheader allowing just one run in posting another win... pitched seven innings against Georgia Tech striking out four and giving up three runs to get the win... pitched seven innings against Georgia Tech striking out four and giving up three runs to get the win... pitched seven shutout innings with five strikeouts against Maryland... pitched 0.1 innings of relief at High Point and walked one batter... pitched two innings of relief allowing one hit in the ACC Tournament loss to Maryland.
In 2003... Had an outstanding freshman year as a mid-week starter, posting a 5-0 record... had a 4.57 ERA with 23 strikeouts and 14 walks in 41.1 innings... began the year as a reliever but got his first career start on March 12 against Wofford... got a no-decision in that contest but won each of his final five starts... got his first career victory at Davidson on April 2... allowed one earned run in five innings with a career-high four strikeouts... pitched out of the bullpen against NC State on April 12, and fanned two Wolfpack batters in three innings, his ACC debut... won at Appalachian State on April 15... won at Wofford on April 23, giving up two runs in six innings with four strikeouts... had perhaps his best outing of the year at Charlotte on April 30... got the win for five innings of work, giving up just one run on four hits with two strikeouts and no walks... won his final start of the year on May 14 against High Point, striking out four hitters in five innings.
Prior to Wake Forest... Played for Larry Hughes... an All-Texas selection as a senior... named All-Region and Dallas Metro as a sophomore... a four-time All-District selection... named District MVP ... led Southlake Carroll to a 4A State Championship.
