An All-ACC Candidate described as the engine of our team by head coach Jay Vidovich though just a junior, he enters his second season as team captain, the youngest in program history an outstanding all-around player who excels on both offense and defense an intimidating man marker with great instincts small but extremely effective defender with speed and great focus.
2000 Second Team All-ACC College Soccer Online Preseason All-American the teams captain although just a sophomore played and started in each of the teams 19 contests scored four goals on just 13 shots registered nine points on the season scored goals vs. St. Johns, UNC Greensboro and in both Clemson games
1999 Appeared in all 21 games, starting in 20 Scored two goals and had three assists on the season a key member of a defensive unit that allowed less than nine shots per game.
Before WFU A two-time first-team Parade High School All-American (1997-98) and Parades Defender of the Year in 98 an NSCAA High School All-American in 98 the 1998 NSCAA and adidas High School Player of the Year the 1998 NSCAA Pennsylvania State Player of the Year the 1998-99 Gatorade Circle of Champions Pennsylvania Player of the Year an NSCAA Youth All-American in 96 and 97 named to the Philadelphia Inquirer All-Area team in 97 and 98 started and earned first-team all-league honors all four years of high school (1995-98) earned Daily News first-team all-area honors from 1995-98 led his Downingtown High team to league titles in 97 and 98 and to a state championship in 1998 a member of the U.S. Under-17 National Team from 1995-97 started 14 international matches for the U-17 team, including three World Cup games a member of the U.S. Under-20 National Team in 1998 a member of the USYSA Eastern Pa. state team for eight years (1992-99) and the Region I team for five years (1994-99) led his FC Delco club team to Under-17, Under-18, and Under-19 state championships named one of Soccer Americas top 25 recruits in 1999.
Personal A communications major his older sister, Rachel, was a four-year letterwinner for the Demon Deacon womens soccer team and graduated from WFU in 2000 born 7/21/80 the son of Jeffrey and Wanda Thomas of Downingtown, Pa.
