WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -
Wake Forest finished the season ranked 30th in the country in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association Poll, which also ranked Demon Deacon doubles athletes Cory Parr and Steve Forman seventh nationally.
The Wake Forest duo wrapped up play this season at the NCAA Doubles Championship where they advanced the quarterfinals before falling in a third set tie-breaker to Mississippi's Bram ten Berge and Matthias Wellermann.
Parr and Forman received All-American status for their performance this season, accumulating a 22-9 record with wins over seven opponents ranked in the ITA's Top 25.
The duo became Wake's second consecutive All-American pair. In 2007, Todd Paul and Mariusz Adamski finished out competition at the NCAA doubles semifinals with a 22-10 record.
In singles, Parr closed the season with a team-high rank of 43, posting 27 singles wins. The Jericho, N.Y. native will enter his senior season with 74 career singles wins, which puts him on track to rank on Wake's all-time singles win list.
Forman started the year with a preseason rank of 91 and worked his way up No. 70 by the final poll. Forman split time at No. 1 singles with Parr and has amassed 43 wins in two seasons as a Demon Deacon.
