Winston-Salem, N.C. - Head Coach Mike Petersen:

"I think that we are in pretty good shape and we were able to sustain our effort over long periods of time. One of the reasons why we had such fresh legs in the second half is because we didn't use them very much in the first half. We made some steals with some very unfundamental defensive plays and as a group we got a little greedy. Secondly, we let the foul trouble early in the game bother us a little bit and it changed the way we played--you've got to adjust and keep playing, and I don't think we adjusted very well in the first half."

"I don't care who you're playing, if you're able to hold someone to 13 points in one half, you're playing good defense. They are team that we should defend a little better and not give up 30 in a half."

On play off the bench:

"We are getting good play from a lot of player off of our bench. I think J.J. gives a really good lift--there's nothing but fighting in that kid and she plays hard all of the time. I think Maya is giving us good play off the bench, Meredith Bell gave us good minutes as well. One of our goals was for all of our players to get double minutes, and we got that accomplished today."

Junior Forward Keila Evans

"In the first half, we didn't play hard at all. We weren't hustling to the ball, and didn't execute our plays the way we should have. Our team really picked it up in the second half, we had more open shots, easy layups, executed plays, and just played harder in general. I'm really proud of the way we played tonight.

On her first double double

"At first, I was a little shaky and wasn't playing the way I should have. As the game went on, I became more patient, called for the ball more and found my shot."

On being 5-0

"We're coming off really strong. It's a much different tempo from last year- a lot faster for sure. Our team is really hustling, we're getting on the floor more and have a lot of great energy. Everybody is so excited and pumped for taking on teams in the ACC. It's a really great feeling."

Redshirt-freshman Tiara Good:

"I think we play very well as a team and I think it's all geared toward our coaching staff--we all feed off of their energy. Coach Peterson and the entire coaching staff has faith in us, which leads to our winning and high level of confidence on the floor."
